The drugs below have been classified as Amber, suitable for initiation by a hospital specialist before prescribing responsibility is transferred to the patients' GP. Responsibilities for the hospital specialist and the GP are laid out in each Shared Care Protocol, along with other essential prescribing information to ensure optimum benefit and minimum risk is achieved by the use of each drug.
